Agronomist
​David Eksteen has been an agronomist for more than 25 years. After graduating from the University of Natal (South Africa) he completed a Master of Science in Agriculture.
He started working with soybeans and maize in a mixed farming community. After immigrating to Australia he first worked in Queensland researching ways to improve flood irrigation. He then moved to Western Australia where he promoted canola production in Esperance. During this time he worked on a GRDC project 'Identifying and overcoming constraints to production in Canola'.
After moving to Southern NSW he has now gained vast experience and knowledge of cropping systems in this area. After specialised in herbicides for the past four years, he now is consulting in Southern NSW and Northern Victoria, assisting growers improve production and profitability while overcoming production constraints and resistance for cropping and pasture systems.
